In Congress, I Will...

Rebuild America's Middle Class for the 21st Century

Reform the tax code to benefit working families.
Increase access to credit for small businesses in low-income and rural areas.
Improve and expand Small Business Administration (SBA) programs for women and minority-owned businesses.
Increase funding for assistance to first-time purchasers and homeowners.
Expand and build new affordable housing.
Increase Social Security benefits, minimum benefit payments, benefits for long-duration beneficiaries, and protect spouses from benefit cuts.
Increase penalties against companies that discriminate against women.
Restore and protect workers’ rights to unionize and bargain collectively.

In Congress, I Will...

Increase access to mental health and substance use disorder treatment and long-term services.

Increase access to preventive testing and treatments.

Cap out-of-pocket drug costs for seniors and modernize Medicaid eligibility.

Restore federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

Expand postpartum Medicaid coverage to a full year after giving birth.

Invest in community health centers and rural health centers, and expand mobile health units.

Eliminate waiting periods for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI).

In Congress, I Will...

Ensure no one is incarcerated solely for drug use, and support increased use of drug courts and treatment diversion programs for those struggling with substance use disorders.
Reform standards of conflict resolution, de-escalation, and use of force.
Expunge all past criminal convictions for cannabis use.
Repeal federal mandatory minimums.
End use of private prisons and private detention centers.

In Congress, I Will...

Improve and increase pathways for legal, permanent citizenship for the roughly 11 million undocumented immigrants, which could increase America’s GDP by $1.2 trillion.
End freeze on green cards for new immigrants.
Increase funding for citizenship services, legal support, English classes and bilingual education, workforce development, and adult education.
Eliminate unfair barriers to naturalization, reduce application backlogs, and make our immigration processes faster, more efficient, and less costly.
Reinstate and expand protections and pathways to citizenship for Dreamers and holders of TPS.
Restore family reunification programs.
Increase enforcement and penalties for exploitation of immigrant workers.
Strengthen security and prosperity for the people of Central and South America and the Caribbean.

In Congress, I Will...

Shut down the school-to-prison pipeline and build a school-to-opportunity pipeline.
Make college free for middle class, moderate and low-income families and give Americans relief from crushing student debt.
Provide early childhood screening and equal educational opportunities for students with disabilities.
Increase funding for art and music education in public schools.
Increase pay and benefits for all educators and help teachers pay for out-of-pocket classroom expenses.
Support and expand pre-apprenticeship opportunities to increase pathways to high-quality jobs that don’t require college education.
Increase federal support for services like childcare on college campuses.
Forgive federal student loan debt for anyone making less than $100k per year automatically.

In Congress, I Will...

Improve and enforce water & air quality standards.
Invest in climate-resilient, sustainable, low-carbon, and organic agricultural methods.
Develop and manufacture next-generation technologies to address the climate crisis.
Help farmers reduce pesticide and chemical fertilizer use.
